El Día del Libro!

La celebración del Día del Libro se remonta a principios del siglo XX, cuando el escritor valenciano Vicente Clavel Andrés propuso esta festividad para conmemorar la fecha de fallecimiento de dos grandes escritores universales, William Shakespeare y Miguel de Cervantes, quienes murieron el 23 de abril de 1616, aunque realmente no fallecieron el mismo día debido a que Inglaterra y España utilizaban calendarios diferentes en ese momento. El 23 de abril también se cree que fue la fecha de nacimiento de Shakespeare, lo que añade un motivo más para celebrar la literatura en este día.

La historia del libro se hace festiva y surgen actividades literarias en toda España. En 1926, el rey Alfonso XIII firmó un decreto para establecer oficialmente esta celebración en España. Desde entonces, el Día del Libro se ha convertido en una de las tradiciones culturales más populares e importantes del país, y se ha extendido a nivel internacional, siendo reconocido por la UNESCO en 1995 como el Día Mundial del Libro y del Derecho de Autor.

En TASSCA traemos a Brisbane un año más la celebración del Día del Libro, una ocasión especial para promover la lectura, honrar a los grandes autores de la literatura universal y disfrutar de la riqueza cultural que los libros nos ofrecen. ¡Te esperamos con un programa lleno de novedades para todos.

Actividad Continua: Taller de Poesía Black Out para jóvenes y adultos 

Actividad Continua: Taller de marcapáginas y sombreros del Quijote y Sancho Panza para los más pequeños

 

2:00 a 2:45 pm: Bienvenida con música en vivo. Nico en la guitarra

2:45 a 3.00 pm: Lectura de curiosidades del Quijote 

3.00 a 3.15 pm: Cuentacuentos por la autora Silvia Barragues. “Welcome Home”

3.20 a 4.00 pm: Presentación de autores. Silvia Barragues, Victor Pérez Pérez, Daniel Gutiérrez, Karen Hernández y Tania Balil

4.00 a 4.20 pm: Tania Balil. Repertorio musical sobre su libro

4.20 pm 4.50 pm: Preguntas del público, venta y firma de ejemplares

 

Actividades en el patio para los niños: 

3.00-4.00 pm: Actividad lúdica infantil dirigida en el patio con la profe Lorea.

4.00 – 4.45 pm: “Había una vez…click”. Crea tu cuento a través de la fotografía con la profe Rocío de TR Spanish Classes.

 

Además, venta de merienda (entre la que se encuentra donación de tortillas de Con un Par) y plantas fundraising.

The World Book Day!

The celebration of World Book Day dates back to the early 20th century, when the Valencian writer Vicente Clavel Andrés proposed this festivity to commemorate the death date of two great universal writers, William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes, who died on April 23, 1616, although they did not actually die on the same day because England and Spain used different calendars at that time. April 23 is also believed to be Shakespeare’s birth date, which adds another reason to celebrate literature on this day.

The history of the book becomes festive, and literary activities emerge throughout Spain. In 1926, King Alfonso XIII signed a decree to officially establish this celebration in Spain. Since then, World Book Day has become one of the most popular and important cultural traditions in the country, and it has expanded internationally, being recognized by UNESCO in 1995 as World Book and Copyright Day.

At TASSCA, we bring back to Brisbane once again the celebration of Book Day, a special occasion to promote reading, honor the great authors of universal literature, and enjoy the cultural richness that books offer us. We await you with a program full of novelties for everyone!

3:00 to 3:15 pm: Storytelling by author Silvia Barragues. “Welcome Home”

3:20 to 4:00 pm: Author’s presentation. Silvia Barragues, Victor Pérez Pérez, Daniel Gutiérrez, Karen Hernández y Tania Balil

4:00 to 4:20 pm: Tania Balil. Musical repertoire about her book

4:20 pm to 4:50 pm: Audience questions, author book’s sale, and signing of copies

3:00-4:00 pm: Children’s guided activity directed at the playground with teacher Lorea

4:00-4:45 pm: “Once upon a time…click”. Create your own story through photography with teacher Rocío from TR Spanish Classes.

 

Additionally, snack sales (including donations of tortillas from Con un Par) and fundraising plants.
